Rabbit Facts

Many people think keeping a rabbit is easy. However, as a rabbit owner for more than ten years, I can tell you that it is absolutely not an easy job. Let me tell you why.

First of all, there is a misunderstanding that carrots are the main food for rabbits. This is totally wrong! Rabbits can only eat a pinky-sized carrot every week because the carrot contains too much sugar, which is harmful to their health. Also, people think rabbits never drink water. The truth is that they need at least 200 ml of water everyday. In fact, timothy hay and bunny pellets are their major diet. They can have other healthy snacks sometimes. Remember that human food is always prohibited.

Secondly, rabbits like running and jumping around. So, they need a big area. Just don't put them in the cage. Some rabbits do not like going out so you may play with them at home.

Finally, if you keep a rabbit, do not abuse or abandon them. You must treat them nicely. I hope you can learn more about rabbits through this article. Thank you!
