A Trip to Taiwan

by Adrian Chan (4C)

Last year, I went to Taiwan. It was my first time there, so I was very excited before we started our 6-day trip.

On the first day, I went to Taipei 101, which is a skyscraper right in the middle of the capital city, Taipei. The lift is super fast. It just takes 34 seconds to go to the 89th floor. The view was brilliant! I could see the entire city.

After that, I went to the 101st floor where there were a lot of stores. My mum bought me clothes!

At night, I went to a nice hotel. It was very quiet and clean. When it was time for bed, I slept like a baby.

Day 2 — shopping! I bought a brilliant pencil case at this crowded shopping mall (whose name I forget). It was so cheap, it only cost about $34 HKD!

Day 3 was my favourite. I ate a lot of beef and I also went to a playroom and played both go-kart tennis and basketball.

On Day 4, we went to a museum showing Taiwan’s history. I learned about how Koxinga ruled Taiwan. I ate a big lunch: an egg, some rice, beef and some cakes. Taiwanese food is mouthwatering.

The next day, I went to Taipei Dome, an enormous stadium where I saw quite a few sporting events. The turf was so green. I loved the atmosphere.

Isn’t Taipei Dome impressive?

At night, we had a big feast. I was so stuffed after. I still managed to go to a stationery shop where I bought a pack of pencils, an eraser and a highlighter. I can’t wait to use them at school.

Ok, time to fly home! I had a blast. I hope I can come back to Taiwan…maybe someday soon!
