Changing jobs
One morning, in an apartment in Orlando, Florida, George Jeep woke up. He dressed, ate breakfast, and went to work. His job is to find weak spots in bank’s websites and fix them.
However, while he was working, his boss sent him an email saying that all members of the debugging team had been fired due to downsizing.
Seeing this message, George sighed, shut his laptop down and left his office. He walked down the street, bought a newspaper, but suddenly locked his eyes on an advertisement for volunteers at the local fire department. He had thought about being a fireman when he was a kid, so he signed up.
The fire department received Jeep’s application, and felt very satisfied because all of the spaces had been filled, except for…
The next day, George received a message from the fire department. His new job was to clean the fire trucks and every vehicle that drove into the fire station.
George was disappointed, but still grateful for his new job.
The next day, George started work at the fire station. He cleaned the fire trucks until they were shiny, and he noticed there was lots of scrap metal in a bin at a corner. He felt bad about the waste of resources, so he brought the metal back home and started to build.
Birth of The Jeeper
After three long years of work at the fire station, and designing, melting, bending, soldering, circuiting and programming at an empty warehouse he had discovered one night whilst walking by the river, George finally finished his masterpiece. He was planning to show it to Mr. Honda, his boss at the fire station, as a birthday surprise. The day finally came and George was ready to show the mech to his boss. Mr. Honda was delighted by what the robot could do, so he named it “The Jeeper” after George Jeep.
From that day on, The Jeeper became part of the fire station crew and made some brave new friends.
The Jeeper saves the day!
One day, George was charging The Jeeper at the warehouse when he got a call from Mr. Honda: there was a tornado heading straight towards Florida, and apparently, only The Jeeper could save the day. George immediately used his instruments to speed up the charging process, and before he knew it, The Jeeper was ready for ANYTHING. Without thinking, The Jeeper flew out of the warehouse and headed straight for the tornado.
At the scene of the disaster, waves of people were screaming and running for their underground hideouts and were surprised to see fixed houses and roads. They knew it was all The Jeeper’s work. Soon, The Jeeper was famous around the world.
