Movie Review: Mulan II (2005)

by Angie Leung (4F)

After a fight with Huns, Mulan (Ming-Na Wen) and Li Shang (BD Wong) are sent on a mission to escort three princesses to Qigong before their wedding. If the mission does not reach Qigong in 3 days, the Mongols will attack China, and their alliance will crumble. However, there are a lot of challenges along the way…

The movie made 304.3 million USD upon release in February 2005. The cast also features Sandra Oh as Ting Ting, Lucy Liu as Mei, Laren Tom as Su, and Mark Moseley as Mushu.

This show is fantastic and deserves an 8/10 — both the storytelling and cinematography were amazing! My favourite part of the movie is when Li Shang falls and Mulan cries because she thought Li Shang was dead. I was very scared for Li Shang.
