The Pui Ching Gazette Fruit Ranking

By Bruce Zhu (4E) and Aiken Cheung (4C)

The Pui Ching Gazette recently created a survey that asked what was their favorite fruit. The top three fruits were peach mango and strawberry.

The worst ones were starfruit, clementine, and bell pepper. The reason is because the best fruits are sweet, popular and are always put on desserts like strawberry cake, peach juice and mango ice-cream. Therefore, the unpopular fruits are not sweet and less people eat them. Star fruit tastes salty, but sweet at the same time.

However,

I was surprised that clementine was low on votes because this fruit is my favorite and I think that the reason is that the peeling smells and it hurts your nails. Though, I am not shocked that less people voted for bell peppers because it is bitter all the time, especially the green ones.

Mangosteen, which  is 23rd, actually tastes good, but I think the reason is because there are often ants in the fruit. Bananas are 10th, which doesn't seem right. I like it because it is sweet and lets you feel full all the time.

Overall, whatever the rankings are, we hope that you eat more fruit every day.
