Movie Review - Mama's Affair

Mama’s Affair is a Hong Kong drama film which was written and directed by Kearen Pang, a famous director in Hong Kong and released on 11th August, 2022. It was introduced to the 21st New York Asian Film Festival and 17th Osaka Asian Film Festival. It was also the fourth highest — grossing Hong Kong produced film of 2022.

Starring Keung To (Fong Ching), Jer Lau (Jonathan Lo), Teresa Mo (Yu Mei Fung), Tang Lai Ying (Ann) and Kaki Sham (Kaki). This movie is about Yu Mei Fung, a housewife and former top artist manager, who discovers a talented boy named Fong Ching while she is visiting a friend in a dancing studio. Fong Ching is an orphan who works in a tea restaurant and loves dancing and singing.

Mei Fung brought Fong Ching to her home and introduced him to her teenage son, Lo Tsz Hin, Jonathan. She hopes they can be good friends and live together as she wants to focus her attention on training him. However, Mei Fung draws jealousy from Jonathan.
