What is Bigfoot?

There are many stories about Bigfoot, but what is it really about? Many people say that Bigfoot is living in high mountains. Can you imagine what it is actually like? Bigfoot is a giant ape-like creature that some people believe roams in North America. It is a cryptid, or species rumored to exist, just like the Chupacabra or Loch Ness monster. There’s quite a lot of evidence to suggest Bigfoot is actually out there. Most Bigfoot sightings are found in the Northwest United States. There are stories, myths and legends. The first name that we called Bigfoot by was Sasquatch. It comes from Sasq’ets, a word from the Halkomelem language used by some Salish First Nations people in southwestern British Columbia. It means ‘‘wild man’’ or ‘‘hairy man.’’ There have been more than 10,000 eyewitness accounts of Bigfoot in the continental U.S. in the last 50 years. Do you know how tall it is? Bigfoot is usually described as about 8 to 10 feet. That’s 2.4 to 3 meters. It is also covered in hair. So, what do you think? Is Bigfoot out there?
