Sir Drakon

His master, Sir. Drakon was his father. Percy Dragon was certain. Who else could it be? He found so many clues and all of them lead to the same thing.

The first clue was when Percy was fighting a demon with Sir. Drakon to get its magic horn and the monster slashed his sword at their arm. Fresh blood spilled from their arm but the brave warriors chopped the creature’s head off and killed it. Then, Percy looked at him and Sir. Drakon’s blood, which was spilled together, and saw that their blood has the same colour, sky blue.

Percy thought, “Only really close relatives have the same colour of blood, but I don’t think Sir. Drakon is my relative. I mean, I already have a big family tree and the only one missing is my father, and he went missing in an explosion.

“But still," he told Sir. Drakon, “ Sir, I realised that we have the same colour blood, does that mean we're relatives?”

And he said, “I have no idea what you mean.”

The second time was when the school potion-brewer made a truth potion that kills everyone who tells a lie and Zia Phoenix fed it to Sir. Drakon as a prank and asked everyone, including Percy, to ask him whatever question they wanted. And Percy asked the first question that came to mind after the earlier experience, “Sir, are you part of the Dragon family?”.

But, Sir. Drakon said nothing. So, Percy thought “ Well, he didn’t deny it, so maybe he is. Or maybe he just doesn’t want to say anything.”

And this time, the clue was very precise. It started when Percy and his friends were camping in The Haunting Forest and the ghouls woke up and started spooking everyone. To keep everyone calm, Sir. Drakon sang a song. But to Percy, that was not just a song, it was his father’s song. The lyrics were the same as Percy remembered “ My dear child, brave and strong. Hero of heroes and so much more.” It was the song that his father made for him, the song that rocked him to sleep every night when he was young, the song that only they know. So, how could Sir Drakon know? Unless Sir Drakon was his father, he wouldn’t.

So after the camp, Percy paid a visit to Sir. Drakon’s house. Sir. Drakon was surprised and asked what he was here for. Percy answered that he was here for tea and Sir. Drakon let him. Then Percy put a few drops of truth potion into Sir. Drakon’s tea when he was preparing cookies. Then, after he drank it, Percy started to question him.

“The last time you drank the truth potion, I think you said you were part of the Dragon family so you must be related to me. Are you my father?”

“No, I’m not.”He replied, “I am you in the future and since my cover has been blown. I need to go. See you in the mirror, bye. Oh, and my property like the school and my house is yours now, it always has been because you're me, the owner. Bye again, though I see no point in saying bye to myself.”

And he said a spell, but just before he disappeared, Percy zapped him with a spell and said, “You are not going to leave before explaining to me. Only after you do, you may leave.”

So, adult Percy (Sir Drakon) said, “Hey, the spell needs 5 days to redo, you know. I was such a smart little kid when I was young. You should also know that you will find your answers when you grow up but the older me did tell me what he was here for so it won’t hurt to tell you. The truth is that I came back to find my father. I wanted to search for the clues after the explosion, and I did. I found dad and told him a spell so he could go to the future to get better medical treatment, which he really needs after being in an explosion.

Young Percy said, “Then why didn’t you leave after finding the clue and dad?”

Adult Percy replied, “It is because I need to relearn the spell. l used it to get here to save Dad. The spell and all your memories of using it automatically disappears from your mind after you use it. So I had to search for the spell again. And since I still need money to live and buy supplies for finding the clues, I opened the school you are studying in now. So I have explained what you want now, bye for the last time.”

And then, he poofed away.
