Brenden Yip of P5D writes the story of Peter and his mischievous clones.

It was a sunny Monday morning. Peter woke up and was ready to go to school. He was excited because their teachers would hand out their examination papers that day. However, at the same time, he thought that he didn’t work hard enough so he was scared to be scolded by his parents. He went to the kitchen to prepare breakfast. He heard sounds coming out from the wardrobe.

Suddenly, he saw something floating in the air, like a mist. He saw a boy growing from a baby… and then he saw himself! It was saying, “Hi Peter. My name is Peter too!” It was his clone. To his surprise, he found a boy, who himself was growing! It was his clone!

When he was eating breakfast, he found another clone of him sitting next to him! Peter’s clone ate all the food from his plate. He didn’t have anything to eat. He was miserable. Then, he set out for school. He saw 5 clones walking with him! He told one of the clones to go to school to do the schoolwork and collect the exam papers for him. He suddenly felt relaxed as the clones did all his homework for him. He played video games all day long and the clones did the household chores.

“Ahh,” he said in his bed, “I can play and relax every day.” He tossed in his bed.

After a week, there were 10 Peter clones who did a servant’s work for him. However, good things don't last as the saying goes.

“Peter! The teachers said you were behaving badly in class and spoke rudely to your classmates.” His mum came in while stomping the floor. “You broke all the dishes when doing the housework!” Peter’s dad had fire on his head. The house was shaking. Peter knew there was a problem with the clones. He decided to defeat them.

Peter pointed a toy gun at one of the clones, who ripped the flowers. He shot a dart at him. “Ugh!” It screamed. However, it didn’t fall down. For the second one, he smacked it with a slipper. To Peter’s surprise, it didn't hurt. For the third clone who tore Peter’s classmates’ workbooks, he sprayed it with pesticides. It didn’t die.

Peter decided to take the responsibility and didn’t look at the clones. He tried to do the housework by himself and be a responsible boy. He even set a timetable to mark down what housework he had to do every day. He decided to do his house chores, such as cleaning up after himself, studying, and taking out the garbage. Then, the clones behaved well; they just hid away and didn’t say anything. After a week, the clones turned into a lot of clouds and vanished.

After the clones had disappeared, Peter apologized to his parents and teachers. He was determined not to be lazy and take the responsibility he had to do.
