In everyday life, we naturally rely on our sight the most. It is the primary sense when we write as well.

In this lesson, to develop the other four senses, we have asked our Creative Writing students to imagine what life would be like if they couldn’t see and try describing the experience without using sight and only using sound, touch, taste and smell.

I stepped out of my house. A warm breeze kissed my knee. I stepped on something fluffy and long. I smelled the smell of nature. I heard the sounds of birds chirping. I feel free with the soft wind and the smell of nature.

The smells of nature filled me. Birds chirping were all around. Oh! A leaf fell onto my head. It’s a smooth leaf. The comfortable wind blows through and a cool feeling comes over me. Tiny animals walked past me.

I stepped foot into a meadow with the smell of blooming flowers all int he air. Children laughing and running around with their parents. I saw down in the fresh grass facing towards the smell of the river.
