Magnetic Poetry: A Class Exercise (2023-2024)

As a warm-up to our new Poetry unit, the students compose poems from the Magnetic Poetry App, compiling given words together to make quick, short poems.

For 3 consecutive weeks, once the students start the lesson, they immediately have to compose a poem with only 15 minutes at their disposal. As the weeks went by, the students developed their sense of imagery and beauty, and began writing about feelings and slowly developing their own individual voices.
