P6 Camp

by Danelle Ling (6C)

In the past few years, the school would hold a camp for the P4-P6 students. This year, one of the camps(held on the 16th to 18th of April) is for the P6 Yeung house before their graduation!

Day 1 Arrival! (16/4)

We arrived at the school sports ground after lunch time. Then, we set off for the Wu Kwai Sha Youth Centre Campsite. After we had arrived, we went to the chapel for a brief introduction to the whole place so we don’t get lost. Soon after that, we settled our luggage, backpacks and ourselves in different houses.

After that, we gathered around at the gigantic football ground. There were staff members who helped us to divide into teams and  taught us how to build a Roman bomb machine. First, we tied two sticks like a cross with a one meter long rope— we did it two times, tied a triangle and at last put it together. Then we got a stick and tied a bucket to it. Next, we got some balloons filled with water. We delivered them to the very middle of the football ground and played the water balloon shooting game. So exciting!

We also had dinner together and played many games in the chapel. After, we went back to our houses, the teachers gave us parent letters and we had sharing time together.

Day 2 Just Play! (17/4)

It is the second day of the camp! After we had finished our breakfast, we went to the hall for morning prayer. Then we made teams up again like yesterday to play games finding the destination. The fastest team with the most points was the winner!

After lunch, we had another game, but this time in the hall like a carnival! This taught us to manage our money well and shared what life would be like in this society. There were souvenirs to make, too, like a bookmark, a little picture, and BIT coins!!

In the evening, we all gathered again and listened to some alumnus’ sharing of the trust of god and the school life in the past days as a primary student in Pui Ching.

At last, we went back to our houses and went to bed.

Day 3 Last Day!!!!! (17/5)

It’s the last day of the camp, we missed it so much! In the morning, we packed our backpacks and said goodbye to the houses.

We all gathered around at the grand hall for the last time to pray and sing. We also got to guess different objects of different teachers and each class performed on the stage to thank the teachers for teaching 6 years.

We finished our lunch and went back to school by the coach.
