How Countries Deal with COVID-19

COVID-19 has been in the world for an entire year and we all hate it. It has been a struggle for all of us, especially for countries like the UK and US.

As we all know, China is the country that the virus originated from. But other than what we know, while the world is struggling to control COVID-19, China has managed to control the pandemic rapidly and effectively.

On the other side of the world, the US has failed to control the virus. As David Leonhardt wrote in an article named ”The Unique US failure to Control the Virus” in the New York Times, “Slowing the coronavirus has been especially difficult for the United States because of its tradition of prioritizing individualism and missteps by the Trump administration.”

Now let us talk about how Singapore has handled the virus. According to the news article which was written in The Straits Times, Singapore’s response to the pandemic has been held up by many around the world as a model. Its infection rate is much lower than the rest of the world.

According to the article, different countries deal with COVID-19 in different ways. Here’s hoping that the measures will be effective and COVID-19 will be gone soon.
