Chocolate Lava Cake Recipe

If you like chocolate, here’s a recipe for you! Using only six simple ingredients and minimal equipment, you can steam a batch of flowy lava cakes that have a distinctive flavour of chocolate malt, for you and your family. Top it up with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, and you’re good to go!

 

Ingredients:

  • 3 tablespoon flour

  • 4 tablespoon chocolate powder

  • 2 tablespoon sugar

  • 3 tablespoon butter, melted

  • 1 large egg

  • 1 tablespoon hot water

Tips:

  • Seek help from your parents to help if you are under the age of 12, or if you’re a beginner-level cook.

  • Be careful when using the steamer.

Instructions

  1. First, dissolve the chocolate powder in hot water and mix well (chocolate mixture).

  2. Second, mix the egg and sugar together in another bowl.

  3. Next, add the flour and stir well until it is mixed.

  4. Then, add the chocolate powder in and mix until the mixture is evenly mixed.

  5. Meanwhile, add in the melted butter and mix thoroughly.

  6. After that, pour the mixture into moulds.

  7. Finally, steam in a preheated steamer for about 8 minutes.
