Once upon a time, there was an historian called Million Butter. He always dreamed of going back in history, as he was always very confused at how the ancient Egyptians could build such huge pyramids thousands of years ago. It’s really the biggest mystery he wanted to find the answer to.

Fortunately, his best friend Bob is a talented inventor. Bob has invented a time machine. The time machine is red, and looks like a closet. It’s spacious inside, with buttons stuck on the wall. II looked just like an elevator, but instead of travelling from floor to floor, it travels through time.

One day, Million tried the machine. He travelled back to ancient Egypt. He stepped out of the machine and walked a few miles away. He was shocked. The scene he saw was a few pyramids. “Huh? Pyramids? Oh my god, I’ve travelled to the wrong time!” Million ran back to the machine immediately.

Then, he tried to travel to an earlier time. Meanwhile, he travelled back to the 1000s. He stepped out of the machine. The first scene he saw was a castle. “Castle?” Gasped Million. He stepped back to the machine and checked if anything went wrong. Then, he saw the “Destination” panel showing a word. The word is “China”.

“What?! I went to China? Oh my…”

Afterwards, Million tried almost 10 times, but once he was able to get to the right place, he travelled back to the wrong time, or vice versa. Million is extremely exhausted and angry, but he could only do one thing, which was- nothing.

Million wanted to give up. But when he noticed that giving up will never let him discover the pyramids' history, he wanted to continue travelling. But he could never get to the right destination and time. He was really helpless.

Suddenly, Bob called him. Bob said, “Hey Million! Just now I’ve thought about the time machine, and I suddenly realised that there is a little bug in the teleportation system. Please lend the machine to me for a while. After I’ve finished repairing the machine, I’ll give it back to you.”

Million was thrilled. He immediately lent the machine to Bob, hoping it could get fixed. Afterwards, he received another call from Bob. Bob said, “Million! The machine was repaired successfully! I’ve tested it once teleporting to ancient Egypt, and it got to the correct time and venue!

Million was more excited. He immediately got to the machine, adjusting the destination and arrival time. After a minute, he successfully arrived in the 1000s in Egypt. He was overjoyed, seeing the ancient Egyptians building the pyramids using strong stones. He went by a builder, informing the builder of his identity, and asked for the reason and method of building the pyramids. The builder told Million that an explorer called “Mammi” had found a mysterious stone underground, which could have glowing lights. Then, he discovered that the stones can stick together automatically, so he decided to stick them together and build a pyramid, in order to store the dead kings and queens.

Million was very joyful as he discovered the huge mystery in ancient Egypt. After he arrived back in his time, he wrote a book, stating the history of the pyramids. The civilians were very proud of him, and he was invited for lots of different interviews. He was now a well-known historian.
