The Lost World

Natasha slowly opened the door to the library and sat down by the fireplace with crackling fire sounds. After doing all those outdoor experiments, it was a relaxing and warm time, sitting by the cozy fire in the freezing arctic, especially at night.

“Which book would I read today? It seems like I have read almost every book here!“ Natasha said to herself while she was searching for a book, standing on the ladder.

“Oh! What book is this? I’ve never seen it before!“ Natasha gasped in amazement. She opened the first page of the book and read it through. It was actually an agent history book. This book attacked Natasha and she quickly read it page by page. However, she stopped at one of the pages with an agent that talked about a mysterious world. It was a riddle.

“The time when the moon rises, look to the north. The place with the brightest star. Call me once and I’ll show you the mystery. Call me twice and I’ll come back.”

“What does this mean?”, she thought. Suddenly, images flashed in her mind: a strange voice and people doing magic.

“I know! This is a spell that tells me the mysterious legend of the magical lost world! If I say it twice, someone will come. So if I want to find it, I have to go north”, Natasha said with excitement. Natasha packed and headed off at once.

After quite a long journey, Natasha arrived at the place right under the brightest star. However, all she could find was snow everywhere. Natasha was very disappointed. Suddenly, a flash of blue light hit Natasha and she fainted. She was half-minded and she murmured the riddle. White smoke gathered around her and a girl on a broom appeared.

“Seems like someone finally figured out the riddle.” The girl said joyfully. ”Oh no! She was hit by our protection spell! Let me heal her.”

The girl took out a magic wand and cast a spell on Natasha. Soon, Natasha woke up.

“Who are you? What happened? Why would I be attacked?” asked Natasha nervously as she got up.” Calm down! I am Savanna, goddess of  The Wizarding World.”

Savanna asked patiently, ''Wait! What is 'The Wizarding World’? Is it the world from the legend?” asked Natasha hesitantly.

”Yes my dear, you are clever. The Wizarding World is a magical world, full of spells, potions, magical creatures... However, citizens don’t want other non-magicals to find their world as they were attacked by a group of non-magicals in the past that wanted to steal their power. Therefore, they cast a protection spell on their land to prevent others from finding it. You were attacked by the protection spell.” Savanna explained.

“So… it means I will never be able to find this Wizarding World?” Natasha asked in disappointment.

“No, of course not! You can find it with the help of mine. Besides, it is time for my people to accept the world of the non-magicals.” Savanna said as she cast a spell in the air.

All of a sudden, a half-round shaped mask cracked and broke into pieces. There were thousands and thousands of people doing magic, making potions and there were many huts and castles. All of the wizards and witches were shocked and they screamed loudly.

“Wow! That is epic!” Natasha shouted with a shiny smile that she was unable to hide. The wizards and witches didn’t stop screaming until they saw Savanna.

“My Lord, I’m sorry but why did you break our protection spell and bring us a human?” One of the old wizards asked furiously.

“No, I let Savanna do this because I wanted to discover this unknown world!” replied Natasha nervously, “Trust me. We non-magic humans have changed. We won’t attack you! Please, let me tell them about your world. Humans and magicals can both live in peace once humans can do magic!” All of them looked at one another.

“Please!” Savanna begged. “Well, fine then!” Wizards and witches shouted. Natasha couldn’t believe what she was hearing as she called all the science professors in the Arctic and showed them the lost world.

After a few years, magicals and humans lived together peacefully and Natasha was awarded for the amazing and important discovery of the Wizarding World.
